Trump Wants Money From Candidates Who Use His Name to Fundraise
Spencer Platt/Getty ImagesThe Donald Trump campaign is asking for political candidates who want to use his name, image, and likeness in fundraising pushes to pony up, kicking back at least 5 percent of any money raised as a result, according to a letter sent this week to Republican vendors.“Beginning tomorrow, we ask that all candidates and committees who choose to use President Trump’s name, image, and likeness split a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC,” reads the letter, dated Monday and signed by co-campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivitae. “This includes but is not limited to sending to the house file, prospecting vendors, and advertising.“Any split that is higher than 5% will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump’s campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations,” they promised.Read more at The Daily Beast.

Jesse Watters Claims Limousine-Riding Trump ‘Knows’ Cost of Living
Fox NewsJesse Watters on Wednesday fawned over Donald Trump’s post-trial appearance at a Harlem bodega the day prior, highlighting onlookers’ supportive chants and insisting that the limo-riding former president—who has repeatedly claimed that shoppers have to show photo ID to simply buy a loaf of bread—“still knows the cost of living.”The Fox News host opened his show with selected clips from Trump’s stop at Sanaa Convenient Store. The location drew headlines two years ago when a clerk, who had fatally stabbed a man in apparent self-defense, was initially charged with murder. The Manhattan district attorney’s office ultimately dropped the charges, but the incident has often been cited by Republicans in their criticisms of Alvin Bragg’s prosecutorial decisions regarding violent crime.Watters, reacting to how those gathered outside the store were chanting Trump’s name, argued that Trump hasn’t lost touch with blue collar workers.Read more at The Daily Beast.
