State forced to step in to avert Election Day disaster in key NY battleground House district: ‘Grave concern’

The state board of elections sent nine staffers to help alleviate a backlog of nearly 20,000 voter registrations and other pieces of paperwork at the Onondaga County Board of Elections this week – the first time the state has had to provide that kind of last-minute support to a county.
