Un fallo informático distorsiona los datos del paro de abril, según el Gobierno canario
La viceconsejera de Empleo del Gobierno canario, Isabel Léon, ha advertido este lunes de que los datos de paro correspondientes al mes de abril que ha dado a conocer el Ministerio de Trabajo están “distorsionados” por un fallo informático.
Así lo ha resaltado León en un comunicado en el que ha considerado, por tanto que el número de personas desempleadas registradas en el Servicio Canario de Empleo (SCE) al finalizar abril, que aumentó en 2.424 demandantes en relación al mes anterior (1,47 %) es una cifra “variable, debido al fallo registrado en el sistema informático y que el Gobierno canario anunció el mes pasado, cuando conoció los datos que revelaban que el paro cayó en marzo en 4.686 personas”.
En su momento, ha apuntado, “ya manifestamos que no había motivos para la euforia y que debíamos tomar los datos con cautela, aunque otros aspectos sí eran extremadamente positivos”.
A su juicio, esta incidencia “imposibilita saber con exactitud el paro registrado en marzo, pero si se toma como referencia el pasado mes de febrero, ha bajado en 2.262 personas”, ha referido.
Si comparamos los datos relativos al cuarto mes del año con los de abril de 2023, el descenso del paro es del (-4,35%) y ha disminuido en 3.400 personas.
El total de personas desempleadas se sitúa en 167.468, marcando un mínimo desde 2008, con 12.224 personas menos con relación al año anterior, detalla la nota del Ejecutivo regional.
León subraya que “aunque todavía queda mucho por hacer, esta reducción es francamente positiva para Canarias porque demuestra que se acorta la estacionalidad”.
Según ha resaltado, el desempleo entre los menores de 25 años descendió en abril en 586 personas (-5,87 %), hasta un total de 9.399 desempleados.
Otro dato reseñable, ha añadido, es que por grandes áreas de actividad el empleo gana ocupados principalmente en las profesiones de artistas creativos e interpretativos no clasificados bajo otros epígrafes. Este sector ha crecido desde abril de 2023 un 1.329 %, pasando de las 81 personas que se contabilizaron el pasado año a las 1.077. Actualmente el número de personas que computan dentro de este sector es de 1.158.
