Maitre de conférences agrégée en droit public, la professeure Chaabane avait été élue en octobre 2017 doyenne de la Faculté. Sa brillante carrière universitaire a été enrichie par un passage réussi au gouvernement (2014) en tant que Secrétaire d'Etat pour la Femme et la Famille.
